Happy Monday! I wanted to hop on here real quick and share an update on my 30-days to healthy journey. So, last week I “had” to drink what Arbonne refers to as a “7-day cleanse.” Let me tell ya, last Monday (the first day) I could barely stomach the stuff. Tuesday was not much better. By Wednesday, I was finally feeling better and the taste was not as bad. By day 7, it tasted just a little bit different than the citrus fizz stick I was adding to it and I had no trouble at all drinking it.
Now, did this “cleanse” entail anything else? Nope. I still ate normally, and worked-out. The only other thing I had to make sure to do was drink a TON of water. More water than I do normally, which ended up with me not being able to sleep for a full 8 hours, ugh. Other than that, the “cleanse” did not end up being terrible.
As for weight loss, I’m still circling the 3-4 lb. wagon. I figured it would be this way though, as my relationship with the scale is not a friendly one. Don’t get me wrong, it doesn’t bother me, usually. I have been working out really heavily (weights moreso than cardio), so I honestly understood that instead of losing numbers on the scale, I would be seeing more differences in other ways. My clothes are fitting better, and I’m starting to notice more definition of my muscles.
I still really would like to have a piece of chocolate after a meal, but the craving kind of comes and goes. Also, I would really like to eat a few different carbs besides sweet potatoes and brown rice. I am that person who HATES beans of any kind (except green), so those carbs are out of bounds for me! I really enjoy a good white potato occasionally, as those are healthy carbs too, in moderation. Lastly, I am greatly looking forward to having bananas and peanut butter again in a week!
All in all, this week will be tough, but I am determined to at least make it to the weekend without cheating. One thing I have done in the last 22 days is only eat at a restaurant 2 times. That is crazy for me, because I would say on average I eat out twice a week. So, that has been a real eye-opener too! I’ve gotten some great recipes out of this as well. I will share those periodically after the 30 days is up as I’m sure I will continue to use them!
Stay tuned for my final results!
